Symptoms

How can I find and replace any special characters used in a String with Blank or another character? Can this be done using EnterpriseOne Event Rules?  For example, for a string that contains special characters like commas, dashes ,etc. how can I replace these characters with a blank or another character.

EXAMPLE:
String:  Smith, John Tim
How can I format it to be "Smith John Tim"  or replace comma with dash instead  as "Smith- John Tim"?
