Goal

How can I find and replace any special characters used in a String with Blank or another character ? Can this be done using EnterpriseOne Event Rules ?  For example, for a string that contains special characters like commas, dashes ,etc. how can I replace these characters with a blank or another character.

NOTE: In the examples below, the sample string represent a fictitious sample (based on made up data used in the EnterpriseOne test environment).  Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

EXAMPLE:
String:  Smith, John Tim
How can I format it to be "Smith John Tim"  or replace comma with dash instead  as "Smith- John Tim"?
