Goal

Customers need to know recommended optimizations parameters to compile in RS6000 AIX Unix Server with IBM Power5.
For now, customers are using as recommended in the [BSFN BUILD] section of the AIX jde.ini as:

OptimizationFlags=-O2

They would like to know for example, if we can use RS6000 parameter:
qtune=auto: Produces code tuned for the best possible performance on a POWER5 processor.

The parameters below are in the jde.ini and they need to know if it's okay and what parameters they can change to optimize the code to be compiled for IBM POWER5.
