E1: INST: How to Enable Logging for a Web Development Client (Doc ID 662260.1)

Last updated on MARCH 28, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document describes the logs available on a Web Development workstation for debugging interactive application Web issues. The document is broken down into two sections depending on your Tools Release. For both sections, the paths for both OAS (Oracle Application Server) and WAS (WebSphere Application Server) are listed for the Web Dev client.

When troubleshooting an application issue, in some scenarios it is easier to capture the logs through a Web Development client workstation.

Note: In order to capture complete logs on the local Web Development client it is necessary for the user to log into a local environment (e.g. PY900 vs. JPY900) or in other words an environment that has OCM mappings for all logic to run Local.

For additional details on logging within an EnterpriseOne environment, refer to Document 1060095.1  E1: ENV: How to Find any EnterpriseOne Log on Any Server, Platform, Client or Interactive/Batch Application

Scope

This document would be intended for the system administrator and/or EnterpriseOne developer who needs to enable logging on a Web Development workstation for troubleshooting purposes.
