E1: SVM: "Null Users in Server Manager" Error and Random 'Null' Users In Server Manager Dated 12/31/69 (Doc ID 663686.1)

Scenario 1

Tools Release 8.97. When looking at the user session on a JAS instance under Runtime Metrics, the user information login time shows 12/31/69, the session will not terminate and just stays until the JAS instance is restarted. When attempting to recreate the issue by logging into web and clicking the red X to close Internet Explorer instead of clicking Sign Out. The session does go away. It is showing "null users in Server Manager" and year 1969.

What would cause the user session to stay and not clear past the timeout setting which is 1 hour in the setup? Is there a way to clear them without having to restart the instance?


Scenario 2

Random 'null' users show up in Server Manager. Login time shows 12/31/69 6:00PM. These users can not be deleted through Server Manager and will remain on the list until the JAS instance is bounced.
