Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After installing JAS and setting it up to connect to a named instance of SQL Server, the SQL Server JDBC driver will report that the login for the user failed or a connection to the database itself failed. Connections to the databases in the named instance from the Enterprise server and from Fat clients using ODBC do not have an issue.
