E1: ESU: Release Master And Pathcode Master Settings Erased During ESU Install Causing Error "Install INF Doesn't Exist" Or Business Function Files Not Getting Updated (Doc ID 788235.1)

Symptoms

Scenario 1 - Release Master And Pathcode Master Settings Erased During ESU Install Causing Error "Install INF Doesn't Exist"

1. The Software Update ESU Patch Install process fails with the following error in the jde.log:

3392/1652 WRK:Starting jdeCallObject Thu Mar 05 13:36:13.334007 B98415A.c322
Error - Install Inf doesn't exist

2. The "Location" and "Server Shared Path" values in the "Release Master" are blank.

3. The "Machine Key" and "Server Shared Path" values in the "Pathcode Master" are blank.

 

Scenario 2 - Release Master And Pathcode Master Settings Erased During ESU Install Causing Business Function Files Not Getting Updated

In this scenario, customer is in EnterpriseOne 8.11 SP1 application release level. Customer has tried applying several ESUs on the Deployment server and they are unable to merge any business functions. Specs are merging correctly, however no *.c or *.h files are updating the DV811 directory in the source and include folders. Permissions are OK on all of the directories. Disk space is not an issue. Discovered that the machine key and server share path values are being deleted in the Release Master and Pathcode Master records in Planner during the ESU install.
