By the end of an ESU patch installation, the ESU install process, automatically for each ESU applied, run the Software Update History UBE R96701.
The first set of information provided by this report will enable you to verify, among other info about the ESU install, a column for " # of Objects Applied" and " # of Objects Not Applied". When the "# of Objects Not Applied" column is different than 0, this means that some of the objects included on the ESU was NOT merged.
You will be able to identify those objects NOT merged in the 2nd set of information provided by UBE R96701. The objects in question will be flagged in columns "Object Install Flag" and "Object Install Status" with a "0" and "Not Applied" status respectively. The procedures described on this solution will assist you on how to re-merge those objects correctly. Also, it still show you the right steps for Force Merge ALL objects in Software Update (ESUs or ASUs) if necessary.
Table F96400 associated with OL table F9861 tracks what objects were included in ESUs and the date associated with an object per environment. If an object was applied in another ESU, ASU, or Product Package and has the same or more recent date than the date that come with the object in the ESU, it will not be selected to be part of the ESU, and will not be included in the Spec Merge. The object(s) will reflect in the R96701 Software Update History Report as 'Not Applied' status. See further clarification below and refer to <Document 660444.1> and <Document 1318978.1> for more details on why objects have the "Not Applied" status when a Software Update is applied.
Information pertains to all customers installing Electronic Software Updates (ESUs) and/or Application Software Updates (ASUs) from EnterpriseOne XE to 9.1 application release level.
