E1: ESU: Enabling Security Server On the Deployment Server
(Doc ID 796785.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 30, 2022
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Prior to Tools Release 8.98.2.0, it was required that the local databases on the Deployment Server have a UserID and Password of JDE (all uppercase).
Since Tools Release 8.98.2.0, the connection to the E1 Local database is done as sa if SSE or system if OEE with an encrypted password. That password must stay encrypted. With that change it is now possible to change the local database JDE users password.
With later Tools Releases it may be necessary to enable security server on the Deployment Server.
