E1:BSSV Cannot setup OCM for running external web services (Doc ID 802513.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2016

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Requirement is to be able to call an external web service from JDE.

The external web service has already been created and tested.
A JDE web service has been created to call the external web service.
A JDE C-business function has been created to call the JDE web service.

As per the development guide, an OCM is required to point to the business services server. However, when the mapping is created, and activated, the Ping Test fails.

Here are the settings of the OCM map:

Environment: JPY812
Service Name: BSSV
User Group: *PUBLIC
Server: JDEWEBS3 (this is the name of our web server and business services server)
Port: 6014 (as per our CNC, this is the JDENet listening port on JDEWEBS3)
