(Doc ID 832174.1)

Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.97 and Prior and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
With the changes in TAM going to metadata tables at the database level in E1 8.12 application release level onwards, the process of building a package requires the creation of new tables for each of the spec files in the database itself versus flat file TAM files in the spec folder in prior releases.
The issue is that the default permissions for the JDE user for the Oracle database doesn't allow proper premissions to create and grant to objects in the central object schemas like the DV812 schema. The JDE_ROLE that is created during the platform pack for the EnterpriseOne 8.12 and 9.0 application releases has some default permissions, but not enough to build packages when security server is used from the build machine.
The errors in the log may look like the following during a full package build -->
