Symptoms

This issue is specific to EnterpriseOne tools release between 8.98.0.0 and 8.98.2.4. Starting with tools release 8.98.3.0 there is no longer a dependency between JDE.INI settings and the location where temporary files are stored for Embedded BI Publisher reporting.

Report Definition submitted to AS/400 server ends in status ‘FS - System Error’. Failure occurs while merging RTF template with XML Source extracted from any standard EnterpriseOne report.

The XML Publisher kernel log contains the following messages:

jdedebug_XXXX.log:

Exiting JDB_CloseTable with Success
XMLPProxy - Entering generateReport.
XMLPProxy - Exiting generateReport.
XMLP: Deleting /tmp/QACXDT6ZRK
XMLP: Deleting /tmp/QACX7XJFNF
