Last updated on JANUARY 21, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version SP23 and Prior and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Client doing an EnterpriseOne software from EnterpriseOne 8.9 to EnterpriseOne 9.0 application release level . Servers are all in Windows platform and they are using SAME deployment and SAME enterprise server for the upgrade. Client met all MTRs.

The difference is that client is NOT using SSE , they are using full SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition with SQL Native Client over the deployment server.

When they try to install 9.0 deployment server software, the first deployment server install CD (1/6), gives them an SQL error message as :

SQL Server Setup has determined that the following account properties are not specified: SQLBROWSERACCOUNT. The properties specify the startup account for the services that are installed. To proceed refer to template.ini and set the properties to valid account names. If you are specifying a windows user account, you must also specify a password for the account.

The install engine let them continue to install the remaining components of the 9.0 deployment server install software (6/6), but after completion of deployment server install, they are unable to login in E1 9.0 JDEPLAN Planner environment to proceed with the upgrade.

As an alternative, client uninstalled 9.0 software, installed Snapshot program to save E1 8.9 deployment server settings, re-tried to install 9.0 deployment server software, however they get same error and they can't proceed.
