Purpose

Overview

A Line Type is a required value for each Sales Order detail line. The Line Type determines what information is required and validated on a Sales Order Detail (F4211) line. It also determines how a line is processed through the Sales Order Processing system via Order Activity Rules. The Line Type Constants are retrieved from the Line Type Constants (F40205) table during the Sales Order Entry process and will affect Sales, Inventory and other database tables in different ways when a sales order is created
