Purpose

This document is to assist the customer with issues and errors encountered when using Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) for upgrades to World releases (e.g. A9.2.1, A9.3, A9.3.1, A9.4).

 Issue 1: Error - OUI 10245

 Issue 4: A9.2 Express Upgrade: Setup.exe Fails with Socket Error
 Issue 5: OUI process sits at 6%
 Issue 6: Receive message "The IBM i OS version must be V7R1 or above. The install cannot continue. Click OK on this screen, then click Cancel on the next screen to exit." after entering information on the IBM i Signon Information screen. (A9.3/A9.4 Quick Install Guide)
 Issue 7: Receive message CPD0170 - Program QINSTAPP in library JDEINSTAL2 not found.
 Issue 8: WORLD_A94 job fails due to some files being created as physical files in JDEINSTAL2 rather than save files.
 Issue 9: When submitting the setup.exe for the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI), the process stalls at 91% ("Instantiating 'C:\WorldA94_1\oui\clusterparam.ini'" 91%).
 Issue 10: When submitting the setup.exe for the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI), the process stalls at 91%. Error window appears where RETRY is selected numerous times with no progress.
 Issue 11: "Abnormal Program Termination" error when attempting to complete Step 11 and entering the IP address, user profile and password.
