Goal

This document describes how to add a link to specify a document, URL, and email address from the Generic Text program (P0016), which you can access from many different programs.

Example of programs that use Generic text:

NOTE: The examples in this documents for emails, files, web sites and URL's represent fictitious names/email addresses/URL's/file paths (based on demo data used in our test environments).  Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

There are many other programs besides Address Book that invoke Generic Text, and the exit for Generic Text may be different based on the program functionality for additional text.  The formats below give examples on how the path might look, but you will need to adjust them according to your system and business purposes.
