WS: 32: Add a New Message or Record Lock to Prevent 2 Users from Inquiring and Changing an Assembly Inclusion Rule at the Same Time A93.1 (P3293) (Doc ID 2012631.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Configurator - Version A9.3 cume 1 to A9.4 [Release A9.3 to A9.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When two users access the same configured item Assembly Inclusion Rule (P3293), at the same time and one user changes existing segment information, the other user experiences a condition similar to a record lock.  When trying to page up or page down to view the change made to the Assembly Inclusion Rules the screen freezes. You can sit and wait for the screen to clear which may or, may not occur. Or, end the job by ending the job using the IBM command of WRKACTJOB (work active job).

The session that was changing the Assembly Inclusion Rule seems to misalign and re-sequence the changed data where rules and segments no longer display in the original rule number order.
