When a Batch Bill of Material (P3002) and/or a Batch Routing (P3003) exist for a parent item defined as a fixed item in Plant Manufacturing Data, leadtime calculations are performed differently than a non batch bill or routing. In some cases, leadtimes are not accounted for.
The determination of a fixed item is defined in Plant Manufacturing Data (P41027) within the field Fixed or Variable Leadtime (IBMRPP):
The data dictionary glossary defines field IBMRPP as:
This applies only to Batch Bills of Materials and/or Batch Routings. A batch in this reference, means utilizing the field Batch Quantity (BQTY) and populating this field with a quantity greater than one.
Both the Bill of Material (BOM) and the Standard Routing screens contain the field Batch Quantity (BQTY) as follows:
Bill of Material (P3002)
Standard Routing (P3003)
Populating the Batch Quantity field in either the Bill of Material or the Standard Routing define the entry as either a Batch Bill (P3002) or Batch Routing (P3003).
