Symptoms

When using Actual Cost (in manufacturing) or Average Cost (in distribution), and assigning the Sales/Inventory cost method of 02, the Completions (P31114) program creates a negative unit and extended cost in both the Cost Revision (P4105/F4105) and Item Ledger/Cardex (P4111/F4111) programs and files.

In order for the negative amount to generate in both Cost Revisions and Item Ledger/Cardex, your system needs to be setup to run in a multi-decimal environment. This means that the data dictionary for the data item QTYINV - Quantity - Inventory Quantities, must contain 4 Display Decimals. For more information pertaining to a multi-decimal environment, Document 626804.1 - Decimals for Inventory Quantities in Distribution can be reviewed.

Changes
