When you press F1 on the Item field in Sales Order Entry (P4211) or Purchase Order Entry (P4311) with the Prompting Control processing option which states “Enter which Item Search screen is to be used to return items” set with a 2 where 2 = Full Item Search screen with Query capabilities, the Item Search screen P41200 appears.
There is no option to set which version of the P41200 is used in the program. The program is hard coded to use P41200 version ZJDE0001.
You can set the processing option of this P41200 version to determine which Category Codes (Sales (UDC 41/S1) or Purchasing (UDC 41 P1)) the P41200 will use. But since you cannot select a version of P41200 in the P4211 or P4311, there is no way to designate a sales category code version of P41200 for the P4211 and a different purchasing category code version of P41200 for the P4311.
This limits the usefulness of the item search when category codes are used as part of the search criteria.
