WS: 12: FAQ: Supplemental Data in Fixed Assets (Doc ID 2103596.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2016

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Fixed Assets - Version A7.3 cume 4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Further define assets in your system by setting up supplemental data type categories.  After establishing supplemental data types, you can track and report important information that is not included in the asset master file, F1201.

Define and maintain supplemental data by asset class (also referred to as Equipment Class), typically category code 2 (ACL2) defined in the Supplemental Category Code in the Fixed Asset Constants.

For example, set up supplemental data for an asset class that includes motor graders.  The data might include fuel capacities, horsepower, oil readings, and so on.  The system stores the supplemental data types that are set up in the Fixed Assets Supplemental Data Types file, F12090, and becomes part of the asset by the category code defined in the constants.  Use F20 from the asset master video (V1201) to access Profile Data Entry - Fx Assets (V12091) where the supplemental data types can be viewed and data entry performed.
