Purpose
Due to the complex nature of the processes and the data integrity issues described in the direct migration guide, it is recommended that only properly trained individuals perform this migration. A trained consultant is considered to be knowledgeable and proficient in system sizing activities, Configurable Network Computing (CNC), and table conversions. The consultant should possess these skill-sets:
- Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne installation experience
- Oracle's JD Edwards World installation experience
- iSeries platform experience
Failure to be proficient in these skill-sets could prevent successful migration and could cause lost or corrupt data.
The document referenced in this posting is to serve as a technical guide to the Direct Migration Conversion process. The document assumes you have a working knowledge of JD Edwards World and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. The direct migration guide is the primary process flow guide but other guides are involved in the process.
