In Sales Order Entry P4211 , the unit of measure values for an item / detail line are not updated after receiving error 0267 - Item Number Invalid due to the item number being entered incorrectly.

The Transaction and Pricing Unit of Measure fields (UOM & UOM4) are incorrectly populated prior to the item number on the detail line being validated.  When the item number is entered incorrectly resulting in error 0267 - Item Number Invalid, the UM fields are populated with EA - Each.  And after correcting the item number so it is no longer in error, the UM fields may both be highlighted with error 0298 - Unit of Measure Invalid for Item.  This error will be generated if there are no UOM = EA conversions set up for this item in P41002 - U/M Conversion Information and/or if there is no Standard UOM Conversion for CA to EA defined in P41003 - Standard Units of Measure.

The UM fields should not be populated until the item number has been validated and then the appropriate UM value should then be defaulted in from the Item Master Default Units of Measure for the item.
