WS: 31: Edit the Work Date Field in Hours & Quantities Entry (P31221) (Doc ID 2398620.1)

Last updated on MAY 20, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Shop Floor Management - Version A9.2 cume 1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When manually adding Hours & Quantities (P31221/V31221) using menu 2/G3112, a Work Date must be added. Currently, the edit performed is to check that the date entered has been entered using a valid month/day/year or year/month/day depending on how your User Preferences are defined (fast path command 85) within the Date Format field. No edit is performed to check the date from the work order entered (P48013).

Steps to Recreate:

1. Located an existing Bill of Material (P3002) and a Standard Routing (P3003) for the same item that is in effect.
2. Create a Work Order Header (P48013) for the item from step 1.
3. Attach the work order parts list and routing either interactively (F8/F10/F10) or by running Order Processing (P31410).
4. Manually add Hours & Quantities by going to 2/G3112. However, make an intentional error in the Work Date field by changing the year to be a past date or a future date.
5. Press enter to write the entries to the Hours & Quantities file F31122.
6. Go back to 2/G3112 and try to inquire on the records just added using any date but the date added. The entries cannot be retrieved without using the G/L Date (Work Date) that was used.
