WS: IE: Dream Writer Executed From a % Menu or From Sleeper Does Not Create a .TXT File in the IFS Directory (Doc ID 2481388.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Technical Foundation - Version A9.2 cume 1 and later
Generic (Platform Independent)

Two issues exist when exporting Dream Writers (not specified in User Defined Code table 00/BE) in .txt format.  The Dream Writers are executed from a % menu (job stream submission) and/or the % menu executed from Sleeper.

Issue 1: After applying A9.2.1 Bug 22629780, when running a Dream Writer (not specified in UDC table 00/BE) from a % menu and/or the % menu executed from Sleeper, the spooled file is created but there is no export file on the iSeries, IFS Directory.

Issue 2: After applying A9.2.1 Bug 22629780, a behavior change was noted.  The top level % menu now submits each of its jobs instead of being part of the J81900 job itself.  Work With Submitted Jobs (hidden selection 33) displays all jobs in the job stream instead of the top level job, J81900.
