WS: 07: Life Insurance Deduction Based on DOB with Table Code DL is Calculating Incorrectly (Doc ID 2622570.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Human Resources Management - Version A9.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A life insurance deduction, based on date of birth (method of calculation = Z), with a table method of DL and a range of ages/amounts, is not reading the DOB correctly when looking at the calculation table for the amount.  For instance, a 19 year old is calculating at the rate set up for age 75+.

Steps:

1. Set up a life ins DBA, method Z, table code DL with age ranges and amounts.

2. Attach the DBA to employees (through Benefits, as a plan) tested through DBA Instructions also.

3. Run an interim check and see the calculation is wrong.
