Symptoms
Unable to void checks due to GTN error for Washington tax area 48
When voiding the check for employee who has tax area 48 with tax type G2 and H2, the system is taking the amount from H2 tax type (which is the employer portion and should not be subtracted from the employee paycheck) and subtract it from the employee voided check causing Gross-to-Net (GTN) error.
Steps:
1.G0711/2 create an employee that works in the tax area 48
2.G0713/2 run payroll for an employee from step 1.
3.Next run the payroll thru the final update to create history
3.G0714/20 void the check that you just created from step 2 above
4.G0713/2 run this voided check thru pre payroll.
5.GTN is present on the R063012-payroll register. The system subtracts the amount of the H2 tax type from employee voided check causing the GTN error
