Symptoms

On June 25, 2019, Connecticut (CT) passed legislation to create a comprehensive Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program that requires employers to provide their employees with paid leave. Beginning January 1, 2021, employers whose employees work in the state must begin handling Connecticut PFML contributions.  Vertex will include this change on the Vertex version 4.3.8, which will be released sometime in December 2020.

  1. Install the Vertex 4.3.8 when it is available.
  2. From menu G0711, setup a CT employee with tax area 07.
  3. From menu G0721, take the Interim Check Entry (P060531) option and create an interim check with check date in 2021.
  4. New PFML for CT is not generated.
