Symptoms

Set up Sleeper (Unattended Night Operations) to submit a version of a program (Example: AR Finance Charge program (J03435)) where the current next date is in the upcoming year. When this version is submitted, it creates thousands of jobs in the job queue which are for prior dates and causes the job queue to hold up other processes.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Go to Menu G9643 -Unattended Night Operations, option 1 - Unattended Operations Setup.
  2. Press enter or enter a specific Job to Execute (like the J03435) in the header portion of the screen.
  3. Note the Date the job is to execute is showing a prior year (back dated) and the next run date should be in the upcoming year.
