WS: 01: Address Book Revisions Goes Into Endless 'X SYSTEM' Loop After Page Up / Page Down Action (P01051) (Doc ID 2748804.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Address Book - Version A9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using the Address Book Revisions program, if any value is entered into the Action Code, then the Page Up or Page Down key is pressed, the program will go into an infinite loop.  To the user, this will seem as though the system is frozen, and a value of 'X SYSTEM' will be visible in the bottom left portion of the screen.  This issue will only occur when Name Search Type Security is turned on.

The issue will be produced with the following sequence of steps:

1. Turn on Name Search Type Security.

2. Go to Address Book Revisions (blank screen). Enter I (or A, or C, etc.) in the Action code field, then press either the Page Up or Page Down key.

3. Receive an X in the bottom left corner of screen and observe that the system appears to be frozen.
