Symptoms

Connecticut Paid Family Leave, tax area 07 and tax type G2, calculates on full gross when a time card is entered in Time Entry, P061121 for multiple states.  07/G2 does not calculate at all if one of the work states is a lower number than 07, for example, 05 (California).  If the work tax area is higher than 07, for example 33 (New York), 07/G2 calculates on the full gross, not just the Connecticut gross.

STEPS:

  1. Enter a time card in Time Entry by Employee,  P061121, or Interim Check Entry, P060531, for an employee, entering time for multiple work tax areas, such as 05, 06, 33, 31, etc.
  2. Process the time entry through Pre-Payroll, P06210 or Interim Check Entry, P060531.
  3. If the work tax areas on the time card are a lower number than 07, for example, 05 - California, the G2 tax does not calculate in Pre-Payroll, P06210 or Interim Check Entry, P060531.
  4. If the work tax areas on the time card are a higher number than 07, for example, 33 - New York,  the 07/G2 calculates on full gross and not just the 07 (Connecticut) gross pay.
