WS: 43: Time Out Or Exit = X From PO Header With Approval Processing Causes No (F4209) Hold Code file Record to be Written (Doc ID 2935587.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 14, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Procurement - Version A9.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If exit/abort or time out of a PO header that has Approvals Processing set up, the Hold Code file (F4209) does not write for the created purchase order and the order does not show up in Approvals Processing. If you enter the purchase order and exit the header using F3, the OR number will be written to the F4209

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter PO or Requisition P4310 with Approvals Processing set up.
2. Add a detail line and input Y to accept the order
3. The video goes back to the header and says the order number is created.  / Query the F4209 Hold Code file and note the OR number is not written as yet.
4. While still on the PO header, do not F3 to exit. Click the X to abort/exit the program or let the system time out.
5. Query the F4209 Hold Code file and note the OR number is not written and it should be.
