Symptoms
We recently began using component scrap and since then we have work orders where all operation sequences are reporting a Yield % (percentage) and not just the operation sequence (OPSQ) where the Yield percentage was applied. This is causing the Work Order Status - Quantities (P31122) screen to decrease the completed quantities (Type of Hours '4' - Quantities Completed from Hours & Quantities P311221). This issue is caused by running the Planned Yield Update (P3093).
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add a Operational Planned Yield (OPYP) to a Routing (P3003) where processing option UPDATE OPTIONS is blank or set to a '1' in the P3003.
2. Run the Planned Yield Update (P3093) over the specific routing that contains a Yield Percentage.
3. Create a work order (P48013) and attach the parts list and routing either Interactively or by running Order Processing (P31410).
4. Ensure that the paypoint code on the Work Order Routing (P3112) is equal to an M - Backflush Material.
5. Run Super Backflush (SBF P31123) and complete the work order for all operation sequences.
6. Go to Hours & Quantities (P311221) and inquire on the work order just added to ensure Type of Hours = 4 were written for the work order.
7. Run Hours & Quantities Update (P31422).
8. Inquire on the work order using Operation Status by Order (P31122) and check the Quantities Completed. Note that the two operation sequences below where the Yield % has been applied, are decreased.
