WS: 42: Replacement Items In Sales (Doc ID 626669.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Sales Order Management - Version A7.3 cume 4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document describes in detail how to use replacement items in Sales. If you have discontinued the sale of an item by either Obsoleting the item or setting it to a Use Up up stocking type, you can have the system prompt you about a replacement item, thus enabling you to still satisfy the order. For example, you may sell vinyl records and then find they are no longer available from your supplier. You can have the system prompt you with a replacement item, such as a compact disc, that you may use (if your customer allows it) to satisfy your orders.
