This document explains the four basic steps that are used to create a quote order and subsequently create a purchase order (PO) from a quote order. This process is often used when a potential buyer of a product requires a quote prior to purchasing an item from a supplier.  If the buyer decides to utilize the quote supplied, then the buyer can simply create the necessary purchase order from the quote provided.
