Purpose

Routings in Manufacturing are used to define each step, in sequence of operations, which define the manufacturing process followed by the Shop Floor.  Routings and Bills of Material together will be used by the shop floor to orderly walk the crew through the pre-established steps, work centers and inventory activity needed to fullfill a work order.
