Purpose

This document describes the different offset methods available for posting A/R and A/P transactions and provides examples of the post reports for each offset method.

Scope

This document is intended for anyone who wants to understand how the system generates the automatic entries (AE document type) in the Account Ledger (F0911) file when you post A/R and A/P transactions. This document does not describe how the system writes all F0911 records during the post process, just the AE entries to the tax and trade accounts that offset the amounts to the expense, revenue and cash accounts.
