WS: 34: How to Interpret the MPS/MRP/DRP Time Series Quantity Type Codes P3413 (Doc ID 650513.1)

Last updated on MAY 01, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Material Requirements Planning - Version A7.3 cume 4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The pristine Quantity Type table (UDC 34/QT) is provided with the software along with an explanation of each quantity type. While it is recommended that the planning programs MRP/DRP/MPS Single Plant (P3482) and MRP/DRP/MPS Multi Plant (P3483) be run using the 34/QT UDC pristine table, any number of alternate tables may be set up to view the time series according to user preference (see Time Series processing options P3413). Any alternate tables that are created must be based on the pristine table because the numeric code field DRKY always represents the same quantity type. For example, the numeric code of 20 is always adjusted purchase orders, regardless of how the first and second descriptions of the UDC table are modified.

Scope

Material Requirements Planners benefit from this information.
