WS: 30: Routing Cost Component Calculations, B1, B2, B3, B4, C1, C2, C3, C4 (Doc ID 835753.1)

Last updated on MARCH 03, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The cost simulation program (P30820) is used to determine the standard cost of a manufactured item by calculating and rolling up the Bill of Material, Routing derived values, overhead costs and Add-Ons or Cost Extra. The routing cost component types and overhead calculations are provided in this document along with examples.  The output of this simulated calculation is created in the Cost Component table (F30026) primary UOM, and once the cost is updated or frozen, it is used for the generation of the production journal entries at a work order level.  The P30820 uses the setup in Manufacturing Constants to calculate the Fixed and/or Variable overheads. For additional information about Product Costing Setup, refer to Document ID 808007.1 WS: 30: Setup Overview For Product Costing.

Scope

Manufacturing cost accountants and related manufacturing experts benefit from this document.
