Last updated on APRIL 27, 2018

Applies to:

JD Edwards World Service & Contract Billing - Version A7.3 cume 4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

A component is a type of markup, like overhead, that is associated with a job. The system calculates the component based on either amounts or units. A single billing workfile transaction (F4812) might comprise multiple components, but the system always processes them with the parent workfile transaction. The system uses component rules in conjunction with markup rules; therefore, after you define a component rule, you must associate it with a markup rule.

Scope

This document can be used by anyone responsible for system setup and maintenance of the Contract and Service Billing Modules.
