Symptoms

An issue has been reported that MSIE sometimes becomes slow to display contents with some hyperlinks in conjuction with Proxy Server 3.6.

The issue is observed with the following condition.

• The client uses MSIE.
• The MSIE uses Proxy Server 3.6 in HTTP1.0.
• The target content is not cached on the Proxy Server.
• KeepAlive is enabled on the Proxy Server.

With that condition, MSIE will wait to send the subsequent requests to hyperlinks, until keepalive connection gets closed by Proxy Server.

This issue doesn't occur on Sun Java [TM] System Web Proxy Server 4.0.
