How to configure Proxy 4.x to work with Sun Java[TM] System Web server Search in Reverse Proxy mode (Doc ID 1005388.1)

Goal

Currently a Sun Java[TM] System Web Server 6.1 (Service Pack 7 or previous) configured with Search will return a search result with the absolute URL to the search result, for example:


http://<WEBSERVER_HOSTNAME>/doc

This absolute URL can cause issues with reverse proxying (CR 6497690).

Sun Java System Proxy server provides a method to rewrite the content of the search results to resolve this issue.
