Symptoms

CAPS eMail eWay requires user & password arguments for authentication methods. These were not required in ICAN versions. Some SMTP applications do not require user authentication.

when the username or password fields in the 'Outbound Email eWay -> Connection Settings -> Send SMTP' configuration in the environment are not filled, the email eWay will throw an exception when first run complaining that "Send User is not filled" or "Send Password is not filled".

EmailApplicationConnection.sendMessage():
User Send is not provided.
com.stc.connector.emailadapter.appconn.EmailApplicationException: EmailApplicationConnection.sendMessage():
User Send is not provided.
at com.stc.connector.emailadapter.appconn.EmailClientAgent.sendMessage(EmailClientAgent.java:658)
