Symptoms

A component export fails with: eGate Regsitry Utilities has encountered a problem

A Windows application event is logged that says:
Faulting application stcregutil.exe. version 5.0.5.7718. faulting module stcregutil. version 5.0.5.7718. fault address 0x00005dc7

If you enable registry logging (start stcregd with the -d and -v options), the log has a "Connection disallowed" message:
