enterprise manager cmd line client - severity filter not working (Doc ID 1026134.1)

Symptoms

When using the Enterprise Manager Command-line Interface (CLI) to monitor alerts, the severity filter returns all alerts rather than filtering based on the given alert severity level. For example: em-cmdline-client -l localhost -p 15000 -u Administrator -w STC -s AlertService51x -m getAlerts -Pfilter=severity=CRITICAL returns all alerts rather than just the CRITICAL alerts
