Symptoms

Enterprise Manager (EM) is being used to monitor multiple domains. After deploying a few projects and/or after a period of time, the following error message is logged:

'Unable to communicate with enterprise manager: connection timed out'

Java CAPS performance of deployment/undeployment times then becomes very slow.
