Symptoms
When trying to increase the Maximum Heap Size (-Xmx) to a value over 2Gb, the JVM fails to start:
$ ./startserv
admin username:admin
admin password: xxxx
master password: xxxx
Redirecting output to /sbcert/jcaps61/appserver/domains/domainCIH/logs/server.log
JVMJ9GC028E Option too large: '-Xmx8192m'
JVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library j9gc23(2): Failed to initialize, parsing command line
