I am using a repository based project (JCAPS 6.2 with NetBeansIDE 6.5.1).

What configuration or setting is needed in NetBeans IDE in order to use Java 1.5 Generics/Colletions (e.g List<String>).

Currently I am unable to commit the changes in JCD with List<String> aList = new ArrayList<String>();

I get the following error message when I commit the below code in editor:

jcdTest:ERROR:Line 22, Column 30 Encountered "<" at line 22, column 39. Was expecting one of : "("... "."... "["... at line 22

JCD Code is very simple:

//**** JCD Code start ****
package prjTest62;

import java.util.ArrayList;
import java.util.List;

public class jcdTest

public logger;

public alerter;

public collabContext;

public typeConverter;

public void receive( input, jmsSend )
throws Throwable
List<String> a = new ArrayList<String>();

//**** JCD Code End ****
