Symptoms

Batch FTP (File Transfer Protocol) adds an extra "/" in filename on a mainframe system. For example:

When using Batch FTP to put a file on the mainframe it adds an extra "/" charater at the end of the file like this C8AYTG.ICAN.PVF.P/(+1) even though the directory name is C8AYTG.ICAN.PVF.P.

Sample entry in the log file:

FtpFileClientImpl.doPreTransferPut(): preTransferCommand is [None], resolvedTargetDirectoryName is [C8AYTG.ICAN.PVF.P], resolvedTargetFileName is [(+1)],
