Enterprise Designer installed on my PC won't connect to the ICAN repository (Doc ID 1028565.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Sun SeeBeyond Integrated Composite Application Network (ICAN) - Version: 5.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Enterprise Designer will connect to a local repository, but when attempting to connect to a remote repository, there is an error message popup that says

Error copying a file from the Repository to a temp directory on my local PC.

The error message claims that the file is not found, yet the file is there.

The Enterprise Designer log says (for example):

ICAN5 ERROR Copy file failed. from : /export/spare/egate/ican503/repository/data/files/InstallManager/repositoryapis/EnterpriseMonitorManager/SBYNEM007/com.stc.em.modelapi.jar to : C:/client/BDP/ED/edesigner.69717/usrdir/967695495/apis/EnterpriseMonitorManager/SBYNEM007/com.stc.em.modelapi.jar : copy failed. : \export\spare\egate\ican503\repository\data\files\InstallManager\repositoryapis\EnterpriseMonitorManager\SBYNEM007\com.stc.em.modelapi.jar (The system cannot find the file specified)
\export\spare\egate\ican503\repository\data\files\InstallManager\repositoryapis\EnterpriseMonitorManager\SBYNEM007\com.stc.em.modelapi.jar (The system cannot find the file specified)
