Last updated on AUGUST 16, 2005

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When starting the DART client on a TRE install to connect to Oracle9i, the following error gets thrown on the console: libdgdb.so not found. The dgsrvr log file has the following errors:
>>L34:C50:"/datagate_v36/prod/monk_library/db.monk"
(make-connection-handle)
>>>>ERR: RESOLVE_VARIABLE: variable (make-connection-handle) has not been defined.
09:46:09 <D> [IFCIN] monk_rv = [-1]
09:46:09 <F> The call to Monk function <db-startup> failed!
09:46:09 <I> Calling Monk function <db-shutdown> to shutdown connection to DataBase.

>>L77:C13:"/datagate_v36/prod/monk_library/db.monk"
(db-logout connection-handle)
>>>>ERR: RESOLVE_VARIABLE: variable (db-logout) has not been defined.

However doing the same through login.monk and trns works fine.
